the truth always comes out

Sometimes in your life you reach a crossroad with a friend. Things happen and you decide maybe we didn't have that much in common after all. Perhaps the months we spent talking were based on a set of false assumptions, projections of our own needs and desires on the other. Nothing we believed to be real, in fact was real. When you get to the point where someone says to you "We can be friends but we really don't have anything to talk about" It is sadly time to let go.

Goodbye my friend. I shall miss your daily presence in my life.

Sad, but wise words, Chestnut. And unfortunately very familiar too. Usually we also learn a lot of experiences like these, although it can be a hard school. :)

Maybe there should be a warning when we join SL. Nothing is as it seems. Words are easily misinterpreted, assumptions too easily made about what others are feeling, thinking, doing. Assumptions get acted upon and people get hurt.

If I was in control, you would never feel any pain. I'm sorry.

LF -- thank you very much. I don't think I misinterpreted the person who this post is about. He doesn't think we have anything to talk about -- I disagre -- but such is life.

I have a full, happy RL and SL will lots of rich and fulfilling relationships. Just less than I had before. Its fine.

His loss, I say heartlessly...

Definitely his loss, my dear. That's okay, we'll always have stuff to talk about. :)

Dale.. Thank you very much. (Although heartless and you don't go together very well in my mind.)

Rosie, sweet Rosie. I suspect you are right. Thank you.
